KHOFH

November 3, 2018

Greetings, we are so happy to inform you that the 92 year old man who was arrested and jailed (because he neglected to inform the proper authorities of his caring five orphans) is now free. Thanks to some compassionate donors, we were able to pay his fine. His arrest and jail time almost killed him. He took sick while incarcerated, and was placed in a hospital, and cuffed to the bed.

The five children were also treated quite poorly and neglected by the authorities. After the old man (the only one caring for them and teaching them about life) was arrested, the children were left helpless at home. When we first found them, four were too weak to even fetch water from the river, and the eldest (age 12 named Brian) was sick in bed close to death. Nehemiah was able to bring him to a clinic where he was diagnosed with Malaria, typhoid, and cholera. He would have died in the next day or two. But the boy is now okay, and they are all very happy to be reunited again. They thank you donors from the bottom of their heart for helping them.

Concerning the Mau evacuation brethren, thank you for your prayers, they have been given part of land just outside Mau forest, and are now okay. Please continue to pray for them as they begin planting crops for food. (The Mau Forest is Kenya’s largest water shed, so there is a need to preserve it, as precious clean water is becoming quite scarce on this planet.)

At Sengera house the children are off from school until January. During their two Month break they will continue working in the garden (which is doing well) and continuing their learning of various trades at the orphanage. Our goal is have each child trained so he/she can become self supportive after finishing school. Some will try to further their education after High School. Like Manley, whose goal is to become a surgeon. He is well on his way, top of his class and being pushed ahead a few levels at school. It’s thanks to you donors these orphans are doing so well. They are learning much, from administering 1st aid to sewing, and much more in-between. And they are also learning the most important thing in life, that our Creator is a wonderful God, who loves them, and changes not. He still blesses for obedience, and curses for disobedience. (Commandment keeping is top of our “priority list” at the orphanage.) Top of our prayer list is to pray: “Thy Kingdom Come” because many are suffering around this world, some horrendously. And only the coming of God’s Kingdom can resolve the problems of this untoward world. Also, please continue to pray for the orphanage. Our biggest threat seems to be the authorities. All we trying to do is help these young orphans, but we continue to be punished and penalized for it.

Concerning donation receipts, sorry for getting them out a little late. But please be assured that your donations are reaching their attended target, and so much appreciated by our impoverished brethren. No one here on any payroll, and our priority is on assisting widows and orphans, and the other important part that James also admonishes us to be doing: “To keep oneself unspotted from the world.” (James 1:27)

Those words “Well done thou good and prosperous servant” which I’m sure we all hope to hear, are not far off brethren. So let us strive to become humble, let us strive to do the things that are pleasing in our Heavenly Father’s sight, and let us pray “Thy Kingdom Come.”
