Greetings Brethren,
In Proverbs 21:13 we are told: “Whoso stoppeth his ears at the cry of the poor, he also shall cry himself, but shall not be heard.” And in Psalm 41:1 it says: “Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble.” We know from the many end time prophesies that trouble is ahead for the inhabitants of the earth. But thanks to your compassionate hearts and the assistance you donors have given to our poor impoverished Brethren, our Lord will deliver each and every one of you from the coming trouble.
Let me start today by updating you on Nehemiah and Haron. We sent out a prayer request earlier this week because Nehemiah (our eldest orphan at Sengera House) was bitten by a rabies dog as he arrived to school early Monday morning. He neglected to go directly to clinic after being bitten and later that day his leg became swollen and infected by the fatal viral disease. The doctor first informed that he waited too long for treatment, and that he was in danger of dying. BUT our prayers were answered, and he improved dramatically quite quickly. He is now doing well and very thankful for your prayers.
Now Haron (Sengera House administrator) has been suffering from Leukemia, and on Friday was unconscious and bleeding from nose and mouth. His condition also quickly improved after prayers were requested. Haron is not cured of his leukemia, but feeling much better. He sends the following: “I have been suffering from leukemia, and it is so complicated. But after your prayers I came to and began feeling much better. I feel that God will one day heal me totally. Thank you for your prayers. Haron.”
Next I want to share with you some thank you letters from some of the orphans at Sengera House. The first one is from Timothy:

Nyatike is a new group. (Started about one year ago.) They send their thanks to you donors for assisting them with Bibles.
In Kenya in order to legally congregate and not be arrested, you have to register a church name. So we use “Voice in the Wilderness COG.” BUT we use the name only for that purpose. We never try to draw people to our organization. Instead, we do our best to point people to our heavenly Father and His Son. We consider ourselves “Church of God.” We know that God’s church is a Spiritual organization, and Most Importantly we know that the true head of the church is our Lord and Savior who is alive and well, and quite capable of leading us.
Another project we are currently involved in is the building of two toilets. Pictured above is the one for Thomas, Kevin and their five siblings. It should be completed next week.
Pictured below is the one for Benjamin and his family. They were some of our Brethren who were forced off their land back in the Mau Forest Eviction. A number of our Brethren were living in that forest and had to flee for their lives one morning, as soldiers attacked them, forcing them off their land. They fled (with about 30 other brethren and their families) into the forest and tried to shelter under the trees for almost one week before we were able to help them reach the Town of Narok. Two church children died from the elements and were buried there in the woods. (If you scroll back on this update page you can read about it in detail.)
Our next project will be to assist this church widow with a new metal roof. As you can see her current roof is quite rotted. She struggles to stay dry when it’s raining.
We have two featured articles this week: One is by Christina Rothwell titled: “Be Ye warmed and Filled.” https://vwcog.org/Be_Ye_Warmed_And_Filled.htm
The other is an open letter to the Brethren in all branches of the church of God.” by: Bonnie Bell. https://vwcog.org/Update_on_open_letter.htm
