Greetings Brethren Greetings from Kenya. We thank our Heavenly Father And all of you donors who have been caring for our impoverished Brethren here in a Kenya. Your Brothers and Sisters in Christ thank you from the bottom of their hearts for the relief you have given them. Even through the trials and suffering at home with the pandemic, you donors have continued to assist them. This is a true testimony of laying down your life for your brethren. May our Almighty Father and His Beloved Son keep you and bless you as we await the ushering in of the soon coming Kingdom of God. We have much to report on here in E. Africa. Below is a letter Kelvin sent thanking you donors for helping him. In it is his prayer for God to help him and his siblings have a better life: “Hi Pastor Goff family and donors hope you are doing well. I thank my God that through the lost wallet I found connected me to a God-fearing people. Thanks for the great support if not for you I don’t know where I where to get money to pay my hospital bill. My family background is very poor even getting 100 shillings ($1.) is a problem. Sometimes, even the police are not fair all they did to me beating me up really bad leaving me hopeless. I am praying our Lord to open Ways for me and my younger siblings so that we can find ways to live for the better tomorrow. In this life mostly we stay the whole day without anything. It is amazing how God has moved to help them so quickly. Through your donations a new mud house has been built, including a toilet & shower. And when the local village Chief saw how you began assisting them, preparing to build a new house and all, he stepped in and donated a larger plot of land for the house to be built on. He had the deed drawn up in Kelvin’s name. The property is also large enough for crops to be grown.
The boys are so excited to have all of this, and so appreciative, to now have a new house with a non leaking roof, and their very own toilet and shower stall. This is a tremendous blessing for them. As for their water, another blessing because it is absolutely free of charge, although they do have to walk just over a mile to collect it, and then just over a mile back. Can we even imagine having to walk over two miles every day to collect and carry back ever drop of water we will use for cooking, bathing, washing our clothes and drinking? I think not.
And now that they have a metal roof, they can put gutters and collect rain water. You Donors have been doing so many good works that continue to glorify our Heavenly Father. May He abundantly bless you. The widows here also send their heart felt thanks and appreciation for continuing to assist them in their time of affliction. Thanks to you donors, we have continued supplying them with the ingredients to make nutritional porridge. Your assistance has been such a blessing to them. 300 million E. Africa are suffering right now, not only from covit-19, but also from unprecedented flooding and desert locust which have been arriving in alarming numbers in Kenya since December, with new swarms on the way from Ethiopia and Somalia. According to the UN, this second swarm of locust are reported to be 20 times worse then the first. At present, there are 17 counties with confirmed desert locust infestations, with millions at risk of starvation.
Flooding has affected 29 of the country’s 47 counties. Wide areas of land are under water in Busia and Siaya counties, western Kenya, after the Nzoia river overflowed. Brethren we are now living in a much different world than what we have been used to. O, we always had plagues, and earthquakes, and flooding, drought and famine, but not to the unprecedented degree that we are seeing now.the sorrows of Matthew 24/7 are definitely well under way. Let us thank Our Heavenly Father, because the suffering that many are experiencing in this evil world is finally going to come to an end, once these end time prophesies are finally fulfilled. Once again we want to thank those working together with us as we continue to ease the suffering of our impoverished brethren. As you know, we address their needs according to priority. On Thursday I was informed that 8 of our children from the Transmara group are suffering from Chiggers.
The church elder has been applying ointment for some time now. But this type of mite can only be removed surgically with a scalpel. I had them investigate the cost, and the hospital requires $35 per child, totaling $280. They will also need shoes to prevent reoccurrence. these children have now moved to the top of our priority list. Let me end on a much happier note. Pictured below is Francis and James standing in their garden at the Sengera House. As you can see, their maize (corn) is doing quite well and soon to be harvested: We praise and thank God for all of your good works. Your brother in Christ. |
