Voice In The Wilderness Church Of God
2/13/10
Greetings Brethren,
I just wanted to update you on our brethren in E. Africa, and let you know that the sever drought that has been plaguing that part of the world appears to have ended in some regions, and now the famine is more isolated. Many of our brethren’s gardens are growing, and they are expecting a harvest this year. They are very appreciative to you for helping them through the drought, and pray that our Creator will bless you for all the love and support that you gave them in their time of need.
I also have good new to report concerning the steady growth that we have been experiencing throughout much of Kenya and Tanzania. We have been consistently receiving requests for visits and counseling, and have been quite busy traveling through the area answering those requests. Many baptisms have been performed and many new fellowship groups have been established.
Here in the USA, we seem to be in a bit of a lull, with very little response to the Gospel that is being preached. Apparently this Country has already been warned concerning the calamity that is ahead, and the ushering in of the Kingdom of God to this earth. It appears that this Country will not wake up now until the famine that was long ago prophesied by the prophet Amos arrives. Not a famine of bread or water, but a famine of the Word of God. And not just a famine of the “Word” but a famine of the “Haring of the Word” “Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD” Amos 8:11.
I have felt this to be happening here in the USA for quite some time now, but wasn’t sure if it was just in my area along the East Coat. But recently I spoke to a brother in the church out in Colorado who told me that they have been broadcasting on a radio station there for two years now without any response at all.
Not so in East Africa Brethren, the doors there are wide open, and the population at large is very receptive to the Gospel that is being preached. I believe this to be a case of the “last being first” and the “first being last.” After all, what people on the face of the earth are more down trodden and last, then the people of Africa?
Our Lord and Savior told us that we shall not have gone over the cities of Israel, until the Son of man be come Mat 10:23. Now some will say that Africans are not Israelites, but even if that is so, let us remember that we are commissioned to teach all
Nations (Mathew 28:19-20) & (Mark 16:15-20) (Also, let us remember, that our Creator is concerned about “spiritual” Israelites.)
Mat 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. 16: He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. 17: And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18: They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. 19: So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. 20: And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.
The signs that are said to follow those who believe have been lacking in the Church of God for a long time brethren, and I believe this is because of neglect on the part of the body of Christ, the church, concerning a very important instruction that Jesus gave His disciples on that last night that He was with them.
I hope to address this very important issue in my next mailing, and also hope that you will take the time to search the Scriptures to see if what I have to say is so. (It concerns the breaking of bread.)
For now, I just want to say thank you once again for all the support that you have given our brethren over there in E. Africa. I also have enclosed some recent updates concerning the work that is being accomplished there, and a recent message I gave titled: “Perfect or in Part”

Your brother in Christ
