Greetings Brethren,
Hope all of you are well and being protected and cared for by our Heavenly Father and His Beloved Son, as we patiently await our Lord’s return. I pray we continue to grow in grace and knowledge of Him, and learn and walk more and more in our Father’s wonderful ways.
This world sure has changed dramatically over the past few Months, and not for the better, but for the worse. Today is Sunday August 2nd. I’m at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport In Nairobi. After having my return flight to the United States cancelled numerous times, I’m finally rebooked and about to leave Kenya, headed home to to my wife Marie in Myrtle Beach, SC. The airport here is like a ghost town. The first leg of my return flights will be to Amsterdam aboard a jumbo jet that can seat over 300 passengers. But so far as we prepare to board, I can only count about 8 souls aside from the crew that will be flying. Don’t know how long the airlines will stay afloat with all these empty seats.
During my stay here in Kenya, much has been accomplished. Thanks to you donors, the orphans at Sengera House are doing well, and continue to be taken care of. As you can see in the picture below, they are growing like weeds. Due to the virus, their schooling continues to be conducted at home, receiving their lessons twice weekly over the Internet. As I was preparing to leave the camp and head back to the States, the children came and requested Me to give all of you their Highest Greetings. They appreciate your love, concern, caring, and kindness very much.

Now concerning the Letter of request posted July 4th. I am happy to report that thanks to your response we have been able to satisfy the Government requirements. We have also purchased the furniture for the sitting room in the boys new dormitory, and the painting of the exterior of the building is soon to be accomplished. The preparation work required for the painting (which includes some masonry work) should be completed this week.
The boys sitting room is now furnished. |
We have also continued to supply numerous widows with food. Nehemiah (our eldest orphan) runs this important project quite well, staying in touch with these widows, and visiting them when possible.
Nehemiah is well organized and keeping good record of the widows you donors have been assisting. |
Thanks to you donors, we also have continued to distribute more Bibles, this time to the Getongo group located near the Maasai border, and to the Nyatiki group near Rongo. They were all very appreciative and thankful to you donors.
Seven members of the Getongo group have received Bibles. |
Ten members of the Nyatiki group have received Bibles. |
We were also able to visit Benjamin Bett the overseer of a group that was evicted from the Mau Forest back in July 2018. They now have a small house to live in, but I found Benjamin, his wife Brenda, and their three small children without a bed, and sleeping on the floor in their small house. Thanks to you donors, we were able to buy them a bed, and they are much appreciative.
The Bett family are now off the floor and sleeping quite comfortably in a bed. |
Preparing To boil bananas for lunch at the orphanage. |
Lucy, Mildred & Naomi preparing dinner. |
James quite happy and resting in bed after working in the garden. |
Completing the masonry work in preparation for painting. |
I have now reached home here in Myrtle Beach, and want to once again thank you donors for all the help you have given to our widows and orphans living in that 3rd world country of Kenya. You have eased their suffering tremendously.
Also hope to have donation receipts out very soon.
Bill Goff
