Greetings Brethren,
We know that All things (not some things, not most things, not many things) But “All things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose!” (Romans 8:28.)
Let us praise and thank our Heavenly Farther for that wonderful promise He gives to those who Love Him (Loving Him consists of keeping His commandments) and those who are called by Him.
As Most of you are aware, we had an attack at the orphanage a few nights ago, I want to update now.
First, let me repeat here as in my previous letter, that all the children are fine. (Most slept through the 45 minute assault) they were safely secure in their houses, and definitely fairing quite well under our Heavenly Father’s Powerful Wings.
I know many of you constantly have us in your prayers, and we appreciate that Very Very much. We live in a Very dangerous world. Please understand that Our Heavenly Father both “Hears your prayers” and “Answers them.” Yes, our Lord continue to Hold us tight in His hands. Haron is being discharged from the hospital today (Sabbath 17th April) and also recovering quite well considering his ordeal.
As the attackers entered the compound (at 1am that night) Haron was able to not only inform both the boys house and the girls house, that we were under attack, and to shelter in, but he also managed to send out two text messages, one to the police, and another to me before he was severely beaten, and knocked unconscious. He woke up in the Hospital finding his wounds dressed and intervenes hooked to his arm. But, as mentioned above, he was discharged and back home at the Sengera House today. Praise our Father for that.
Haron is one of the most humble persons I have ever known. He is gentle and kind, of short stature, and is often beaten, he gets beat up a lot, and not for wrong doing on his part. (I’ll elaborate on that another time.)
Our guard or “Soldier” (That’s what guards are called in Kenya) also sustained a brutal beating, and was stabbed, but I was just informed that he too is getting better and will be okay. I’m not sure what all will fruit out of this terrible incident, we will see as time progresses. But don’t be surprised if good comes out of it. Our Father works in mysterious ways. I’m not saying He caused this trouble, of course He did not. But as Romans 8:28 stated above says, He is good at turning problems into blessings to those who Love Him.
Ikoba Congregation Orphans |
Pictured above are the three orphans from the Ikoba church which we reported on in last update. Actually there are four. The two boys and young sister are standing next to their older sister. After their parents died, the four siblings moved in with their Grandmother (That’s Grandma pictured with them above.) The brethren usually tithe with their produce. Haron (far right in the picture) delivered maze (corn) that was tithed by the Kisii congregation.
We (khofh) also continue to assist numerous “true” widows and orphans with both food assistance, and seeds for planting. Much of E. Africa continues to suffer food insufficiency. The Desert Locust plague also continue to thrive now in many countries.
The widow Ann Boyani’s house is soon to be completed and construction on Matara’s house began this week. We thank you donors for the compassion you have shown these impoverished brethren. You have eased their suffering considerably. And most importantly, your good works continue to glorify our wonderful Heavenly Father.
Benjamin Bett continues to visit remote groups, bringing them messages of encouragement. We will soon be providing the Transmara group with the Bibles they requested.

Benjamin’s report:
“Hi Brother Goff. Receive warm greetings from me and the brothers in Christ from Kewet group south of Narok. Reaching out to these brothers and sisters in Christ purposely in spreading the word of God, and uplifting the Spirit that our Father gave us was a blessing to them. The two witness message was quite intriguing and well understood with much food for thought. The brethren here send all of you their love. Also visited Ngaroni group (pictured below) 7km from Kewet group. Managed to meet the brethren in both groups by mercy of the most high.”
